I like quotes. Especially the simple quotes that are often called cliches. In the case of this quote it seems all too evident. As I sit in my living room looking out the window to the beautiful skyline of Chicago, I realize how much I love gazing at this view, but so many people see so much else. People see crowds, crime, cold, etc...
I see beauty. I love this city and I love the view that I am all too fortunate to have. Having written that, I realize the excruciating heart ache that exists in this city as well. Homelessness, loneliness, heartlessness. They all exist all too often in this city and every city. I might try to see if there is something that I can do about that.
